Starlite Kitchens & Baths has been a family business for eight years, owned by Doug & Lynne Bakker and Roger & Sandi Bronsink. The family in Starlite starts with Sandi and Lynne, who are sisters. Doug is one of Starlite’s outside sales people and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He looks forward to helping you plan and purchase your cabinetry. Lynne helps with various aspects of the office, including payroll. Roger is involved with the operations, marketing, finance, and human resources. Sandi helps with a variety of areas, including pricing, hardware, and organizational issues. 

Other family members are part of our team as well. Lynne and Sandi’s sister-in-law, Jean Kunnen, works in the area of design and sales. Doug and Lynne’s daughters, Kim Kool and Shari Bakker, are two of our designers. Their son, Matt Bakker, helps with sales and delivery. Roger and Sandi’s son, Paul Bronsink, handles receiving, warehousing, and delivery. Their daughter, Amy Bronsink, helps with marketing while attending college.

Of course, we also have many outstanding non-family members who are very important to our company’s success. For example, Ruth Westra, has been one of our top design people for the last several years and recently won a national award for a kitchen she designed. Christine Ritsema has 18 years experience in the building industry and has been designing for many years. Karen Slenk also works as a designer. While she is relatively new to Starlite, Karen has been designing kitchens for over five years.  

Our sales team also includes Brett DeHaan and Jennifer Neeb. Brett adds a high level of sales expertise and enthusiasm to our company. He has been one of the most successful cabinet sales people in the Grand Rapids market for over ten years. Jennifer brings a unique blend of sales and design expertise along with a willingness to do whatever it takes to complete your project to your satisfaction. Kathy Decker is invaluable as our office manager, handling a myriad of responsibilities. She also makes sure we all cross our t’s and dot our i’s, and she takes great pleasure in doing it.
